What We Do
Weekly, we offer a weekend backpack program, which allows Branford’s children access to food outside of school hours. Currently, we provide 2 breakfast meals, 2 main meals, 2 cartons of juice, and snacks for an entire weekend during the calendar year. Our program is offered to all children in Branford, regardless of income or circumstance and honors our children’s need for privacy by partnering with school administrators. Our program relies 100% on private funding and our board of directors is comprised of all volunteers. We aim to raise awareness that hunger lives in everyone’s backyard.
Our Mission
At Feed Branford Kids our mission is to see that all our children have enough to eat every day, whether it be a school day, a weekend or a holiday. We aim to provide every child with life’s basic needs to ensure children are more productive in school and able to integrate better into the community.
